We wish our graduates God’s blessings as they begin the next venture in life: Lucas Corbisier, Emily DeGroot, Adeline Hahnke, Lucas Holtz, Emmeline Kelley, Timothy Luehring, Riley Pink, Anthony Seiler, Alexa Strenn, and Cylyce Wilson.

NEXT/FINAL CHAPEL SERVICE:  Our next and final school chapel service will take place Friday, May 24th, at 8:05 am.  We gather under the theme, “Let the Children Come”.  All family and friends are invited to attend.  Don’t forget your mission offerings for the kids c.a.r.e summer Bible camps.

Meal for Firehouse #1: A number of St. Paul families have decided to pool funds together to provide a meal to the firehouse in memory of Firefighter Mitch Lundgaard on behalf of St. Paul Lutheran Ministries. FF Lundgaard has been on the St. Paul campus numerous times, responding to a call here and there when our alarm systems go off, annual inspections, etc. We plan to have the meal catered and delivered by The Bar on Lynndale. If you would like to donate to this cause, please drop off cash in the office no later than this Thursday afternoon. Depending on the amount of money collected, we will either sponsor a second meal or donate the remainder to his family. Any questions, please see Melissa in the office. Thank you for considering!

Friday Dress Code: Students may wear sport shorts, sport pants, and sweat pants on Friday in addition to the regular dress code.  Please ensure that short lengths follow the no more than 2 inches above the knee rule.

Medications Held in the Office: If your child has medications in the office, please pick them up before Friday. Medications will only be given directly to the parent/guardian.

Fees Reminder:  Tuition, Library Fines, and Hot Lunch payments should be paid by Friday.  Please stop in the office and pay the remainder as soon as you can. Please see Mrs. Zunker with any questions.

Report Cards:  Report cards for the year will be sent home this Friday at the end of the day (12:30 pm), and will be given directly to the parents.  If tuition, library or lunch money is owed, your child’s report card will be withheld until those fees are paid in full.

Congratulations to fourth grader Haidyn Berger for winning 3rd place in the annual Wisconsin DNR clean air poem contest! The contest is called "Air, Air Everywhere." Three poems were submitted from these fourth graders: Kody Holtz, Ella Uhlenbrauck, and Haidyn. Haidyn's was chosen and will be on the DNR website soon!

HELP NEEDED!-School Cleaning: The end of the year is approaching.  This means that we will be doing a complete cleaning of our school and classrooms.  There are 2 main moving and cleaning days scheduled.  They will be Monday, June 3 (move out day) and Monday, June 17 (move in day) 8:00 AM-12:00 PM & 4:00-7:00 PM.  These will be days scheduled to remove and clean desks/items from classrooms and moving items back into classrooms.  Throughout the month of June there will also be check lists in various areas that could use your assistance with cleaning.  Cleaning items will be provided.  If you are able to assist on either of these Mondays, please just show up and help as you can.  If you would like to come in and help clean areas/items during other days and times, please contact the office to gain access to the school building.  MANY HANDS MAKE WORK LIGHT!  Thank you in advance for your help.

NEW SCIENCE CURRICULUM: This school year our FVL schools conducted a curriculum study for our school science program in grades K-8.  St. Paul chose to implement a brand new hand's-on science curriculum called Foss Kits published by Delta Education & School Specialty.  For more information about this program, please go to their website.  The total cost to implement our new science curriculum for K-8 is $37,000.  We have built it into the yearly budgets from this school year and the 2019-2020 school year to cover 2/3 of the cost.  The remaining cost of $11,590.62 will be funded through our wish list and special donations.  It is hopeful that we will raise the funds for this program by next December so that our teachers have it available for the 2nd semester of school.  We will be taking special donations at our end-of-the year picnic next Friday and starting next school year.  If you would like to donate toward our new science curriculum, please let Mr. Kelley know.

May 24th- Last Day of School: St. Paul is scheduling the last day of school a little differently this year.  Please join us for the end of the year chapel service as you drop children off for school.  If you are available, please also join us for our fun activities and lunch.  We do need some adult helpers to assist in supervision of our fun activities.  We also need assistance with lunch (setting up, providing a salad/dessert, cooking/serving, and clean up).  If you are available to help with any of these areas, please call us or sign up in the office.

This last day will be a regular hot lunch/picnic day for the children, but we are also inviting your family to join us (at no cost; donations accepted).  We do need an approximate number so we can plan accordingly.  If your family would like to join us for the picnic, please call (920)733-9061 or email (mvolhard@stpaulappletonwi.com) ASAP (Registration deadline was 5/10 – if you sign up after this date, we cannot guarantee your hot dog!).
