Mr. Nate Kallies - NKALLIES@STPAULAPPLETONWI.COM
Principal and 8th Grade

I graduated from Martin Luther College in 2003.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education, with a minor in history.  Upon graduating from college, I was assigned to teach grades 5-8 at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Cannon Falls, MN.  I also served as their principal, athletic director, adult choir director, and coached many athletics.  It was truly a great experience to begin my Gospel ministry.  I am thankful that God had Cannon Falls as part of my ministry.  It prepared me so much for what I am currently doing.
I received the call from St. Paul Lutheran, Appleton, in January of 2009.  I serve as the principal here, but I also teach science and physical education in grades 5-8.  I also have the awesome privilege of teaching 8th-grade religion.  I am truly blessed by all of the families here, but especially I enjoy working with the staff that I do.  It really is a “dream team” of sorts.  We all laugh together, cry together, and pray together.  What a great place to serve!
I am married to Sara (Becker) from Kiel, WI.  We were married in 2001 and we have two daughters, Olivia (2002), and Avery (2006).  I enjoy all sports but I especially like baseball.  I love to read historical books and Tom Clancy novels.

Please contact me at 277-0650 (cell) or 733-9061 (office) if you have any questions about education here at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School.
Mrs. Susan Stahl - SUSAN.STAHL78@GMAIL.COM
7th Grade

When I graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College in 1970, I was assigned to teach 5th & 6th grade at Riverview Lutheran, Appleton.  I taught there for six years before marrying my husband, Jim, and raising a family of three sons and a daughter.  Once the last of our four children reached first grade, I began teaching as a substitute in the area Federation Schools.  I then accepted a variety of ‘administrative relief’ opportunities at Riverview, Trinity Lutheran, Neenah, and St. Paul Lutheran, Appleton.   My teaching time at St. Paul eventually lead to a part-time position as Extended Learning teacher.  Several years ago I began teaching full-time.  My responsibilities currently include 5th through 8th grade Language-Arts and Literature.  I also teach 7th & 8th Art and 5th grade Catechism.  Some extracurricular activities that I work with include the Veterans Day program and the spring Forensics team.

Mrs. Lorry Voss - LVOSS@STPAULAPPLETONWI.COM
4th Grade

I was born in 1954 in St. Joseph, Michigan and grew up on a farm in Eau Claire, Michigan.  The youngest of five children, I had the “fun” of helping to grow tomatoes, apples, peaches, cherries, and various other fruits and vegetables.  I graduated from St. Matthew Lutheran School, Benton Harbor, in 1968.  Knowing that I wanted to become a Lutheran school teacher, I was able to attend Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, Michigan.  In 1972 I graduated and headed off to Dr. Martin Luther College to continue preparation for the teaching ministry.  While there, I met my future husband, Dave Voss.  After graduating in 1976, the Lord sent me to St. Andrew Lutheran School in Chicago to teach grades 1-2.  Dave and I were married in 1977 after he graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College.  We were then off to East Fork Lutheran Mission in Whiteriver, AZ.  Dave taught grades 5-6 and I taught grades 3-4.  Our children, Kelly and Kasey were born there.  We have many fond memories of good friends and coworkers in that world mission field.  After 13 years, God sent Dave a call to teach at Fox Valley Lutheran High School here in Appleton.  St. Paul Lutheran extended me the call to teach 4th grade, and I’ve been privileged to serve here since 1990. Through the years that I’ve been at St. Paul, God has allowed me to do a variety of things in addition to teaching 4th grade: coach volleyball, help out with VBS, serve as Athletic Director, and mentor student teachers.

I was born to Lester and Ardella Enter on April 13th, 1956 in Mankato, Minnesota.  I was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church that same month.  I grew up on a farm in Nicollet with five brothers and two sisters.  I attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School and was confirmed in May of 1970. My high school years were spent at Martin Luther Academy in New Ulm, Minnesota; I graduated in 1974.  I wanted to be a teacher so I went to Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm.  While attending school, I played volleyball and worked in the cafeteria.  After graduating in 1978, I was assigned to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Norfolk, Nebraska, where I taught grades 3-4, coached volleyball and basketball and played organ.  In 1981 I married Tim Zander and continued to teach until the birth of our second child.  In 1990 I took a Call to Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoskins, Nebraska where I taught K-3 and played organ.  I was there one year and then took a Call to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Appleton, Wisconsin, to teach first grade and play organ. I live in Kaukauna with my husband and our dog, Frosty.  Our three children are now grown up.  Angela and Jake live in Beatrice, Nebraska and have three children.  Philip spends summers salmon fishing in Alaska and winters working at a fish hatchery in Naselle, Washington.  Robert recently became engaged to Julie.  He is a taxidermist in Inglewood, Colorado.  I love to read, watch movies, garden, getting together with family and especially the grandchildren.
