School Mission Statement:
Using God’s Word as our guide, St. Paul Lutheran School will raise up future generations of Christians in our community by assisting parents in the Christian teaching of their children and by striving for excellence in all areas of instruction.


Worship Times: St. Paul Lutheran Church worship services are on Sundays at 8am & 10:30am, and Mondays at 6:30pm. Join us on Sundays at 9:15 for Sunday School and Adult Bible Study at 9:20 in the church basement.
 
2018 Private School Tuition: You will be receiving your 2018 Private School Tuition Paid forms for your taxes. If you do not receive them by the end of the week, please stop by the office.
 
End of the 1st Semester: Last Friday concluded our first semester of the 2018-2019 school year. Report cards will be coming home with your children today.
 
Singing in Church on Sunday: Grades 7-8 will be singing in the 8am service on Sunday morning. Students are asked to meet in the church basement by 7:45am.
 
MAP Testing: Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) testing for grades 2-8 starts this week and for grades K-1 next week.  Please assist us by providing a protein rich breakfast at home and sending a protein rich snack for a mid-morning brain booster.  Please ensure that your child receives a good night's sleep.  Please help us limit absence during our testing times.  If possible, reschedule appointments.  Thank you for your support!

  2. Reading: Jan. 22nd 5th – 8th; Jan. 23rd 3rd – 4th; Jan. 24th 2nd
  3. Math: Jan. 29th 5th – 8th; Jan. 30th 3rd – 4th; Jan. 31st 2nd

(Grades K-1 schedule will be communicated directly from those teachers.)
 
Student Teachers Arriving This Week: The student teachers from Martin Luther College will begin at St. Paul Lutheran School on Thursday.  Mr. Seth Arps will be working with Mr. Rehberger in grades 7 and 8. Mr. Arps is a former student of St. Paul and FVLHS.  Mr. Tyler Larson will be working with Mr. Hoffman in grade 6. Mr. Larson grew up in Kimberly and went to public high school.  Both student teachers will be staying at home during their experience at St. Paul. As you have the opportunity, please welcome them to the St. Paul family.   
 
8th Grade Night: St. Paul will be celebrating 8th grade night at our home basketball games on Friday, January 25th.  Please join us as we recognize our 8th grade athletes in basketball and cheerleading.
 
PTO Meeting: The next PTO meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 18th at 6pm. Please join us as we discuss items such as the St. Paul Rummage Sale and end of the year activities. We will meet in the 5th grade room.
 
School-Aged Child Care 2/14 – 2/15: Looking ahead, there will be no school on February 14th & 15th due to Teacher Conferences. If you will require daycare for your school-aged child, you must register in the school office or with Candy Schulz in the ECC BEFORE FRIDAY, FEB. 1ST. This is the deadline date, and care cannot be guaranteed for anyone registering after 2/1.
 
School Roof Update: We have great news to share! Thanks to some very generous donors, we are approximately $16,000 away from meeting our goal of $150,000 to replace the roof! To God be the glory! If you are interested in donating toward the roof fund, please feel free to either stop by the office, or include your tax-deductible donation in your church offering--being sure to label the envelope ‘Roof Fund’. Thank you all for your generous support!
 
Open House for Preschool & Kindergarten 2019-2020 Enrollment: January 30th from 3:30-6:30 PM. Please come and join us to meet our teachers and to learn more about our Christian program. Invite your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to our Open House. A flyer will be sent home with all families today. Hang it on your fridge as a reminder or hand out to someone you know and invite them to come and learn more about St. Paul. All are welcome!
 
Camp Bird Registration: The application form for Camp Bird 2019 registration went active today. For more info on this Lutheran Summer Camp, or to download the application, please go to http://campbird.org/.
 
Six Flags Reading Challenge Deadline: The deadline for submitting your reading logs is February 11th, 2019. They may be turned in to your teacher or to the office. If you have misplaced your form, there are extras in the office. This challenge is open to students in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Happy reading!
 
FVL Musicfest 2019 is Sun., 1/27 from noon to 4 PM. This family-fun event showcases FVL student musicians. Enjoy the musical talent, the Fox Folk Marionettes, the silent auction, and more. Lunch & desserts available for purchase. Adults are $3. Students with FVL ID or FVL Passport are free. Proceeds benefit the FVL music programs and the Let the Children Come mortgage effort.
